According to my marketing research, huge brands do not produce content. Instead, they leverage publications that produce content.

So, with quality content and marketing there is no need for advertising.

There is a very thin line between marketing and advertisements.

Ads alone are not enough to generate revenue but, they are dependent on the urge of companies to expect instant ROI through paid advertising.

Following are my ideas to promote blogs:

Method 1 :

Free Promotion Using Social Media Handles Like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.

For Instagram:

Write the content title or share a screenshot/thumbnail of the blog post on your account feed and write “If you want to read the full post click link in the bio”.

Pro’s: Hashtags make the content reach in a better way if given tags are targeted towards the specific audience.

Cons: The link under the Instagram post will be shown as plain text which is not redirectable.

Twitter:

Tag your blog posts along with trending and viral tags which makes the reach better because the viral or trending tags always have more clicks or views compared to generic content hashtags.

Facebook:

On your Facebook page, Post small snippets of your blog and have a call to action button like Learn More/ Read More.

You can also give internal links in your blog posts that help users to navigate to relevant pieces of information based on their interests.

Method 2:

Engaging with the audience and solving their grievances on platforms like Quora or Other Knowledge-based platforms like Linkedin etc.(Free Method)

Try to engage with the audience by joining the conversations about your blog or competitors or a certain market of your niche.

Because on platforms like quora, the posts rank for everything on google.

Show empathy by showing as if you have joined the topic running in their minds.

Try to know their grievances and address them with your ideas by helping them solve the problems or providing alternate solutions.

Start to answer their questions and give them links to your blog whenever you think it’s relevant.

Thereby redirecting them to your blogs for further discussions. Thereby turning their haters into your fans.

Method 3:

Live Streaming

Do live streaming across your social media handles because the call would be more engaging and you can get your audience to believe what you are into and you can discuss your achievements thereby gaining trust. And ask them to check your blog/website.

Backlinks

Another way is to use other websites that have stats relevant to my topic, use them as back up and give backlinks to them. By this, you gain trust from the audience by providing them resources.

Now, because you are giving free backlinks to other’s websites, you can reach out to them via email by sharing your post link and request them to check your blog and ask for a backlink which could increase traffic to your blog.

Another way is that you can also use tools like AHREFS to see who is linking to your competitors and hit up every single of them by sending them an email saying that you noticed them they gave backlinks to some company related to your niche and ask them to check yours which covers more topics for the peoples interset and request to get a backlink.

Method 4:

We can use Email marketing services with different tools like ZAPIER, Mailchimp, etc, to create a sequence of emails to your subscribers.

Create a landing page with a lead magnet. And create a drip marketing sequence by saying:

Thank you for your subscription!.

Method 5:

Paid Marketing campaigns.

You can run paid marketing campaigns on Facebook or smart display campaigns on google and use different tools like Facebook pixel and google tag manager to analyze the number of people engaging with your content with help of conversion tracking codes which may fire once they land on the page you want them to land on.

Run a Facebook ad:

You can run your ads through your Facebook page or your account.

You can also create an account through a business manager and give access to others to post content through different ad accounts.

  • First, you need to add an ad account inside the business manager.
  • Go ads manager.
  • Create a traffic campaign.
  • You can add your client name and create an ad set.
  • Now you can choose where you want to redirect the traffic either website, blog,  landing page, or an app, etc.
  • Then select your budget along with the period or a lifetime budget depending on the period you choose.
  • Now create a custom or lookalike audience and choose a location.
  • Choose Demographics based on Age, Gender, Interests, Education, Behaviour, etc.
  • You can use a type of format, Single Image or Carousels.
  • GIve link to redirect in the destination bar.
  • Click on publish.

This is the basic way to create an FB ad. Further, you have things like hotjar, pixel, and analytical tools which help you analyze how many visitors are reaching out whenever the pixel fires up.

Run a Google Ad:

Create your ads account.

  • You can use smart display campaigns to start with.
  • Create your first Google Conversion tracking code and deploy the code on a webpage.
  • Enter the keywords that you want to include in this campaign.
  • Create your audience segment.
  • You can use an extension like google tag manager to analyze the traffic.
  • You can use google ads account to run video ads as well.
